We wanted to continue the dinosaur theme again today, so Emerson wore the brand new dress Grandmommie got for her birthday.
Funnily enough, I almost bought her this one because it matched her decor so well, but chose the navy one because she looks so good in blue, and I loved the flutter sleeves. But this one is perfect and adorable and so spunky!
I bought some of my favorite “health nut” wheat bread, and another couple of avocados, so I could have some more super delicious avocado toast. The problem is, my “Everything But the Bagel” seasoning from Trader Joe’s is completely out after this morning, which is super sad because that’s practically the best part!
Tater Tot had a good day at school, doing lots of art and playground time, and her daily report said, “today we made magic pink pictures,” and even thought I don’t know exactly what that means, it sounds fun!
After picking Emerson up from school, I made my Mama’s super easy & delicious recipe for chicken pot pie for dinner tonight.
Last week, Aunt Jane dropped off a present for Emerson since she wouldn’t be able to come to her birthday party. But we forgot to take it with us yesterday. So today I put it out on the coffee table so we wouldn’t forget, and she was so excited to find it and open it after school today! It’s a beach towel that folds up to wear like a backpack. And the coolest card to go with it, that turned into a Princess Sophia crown!
She was also dying to try out a few other new presents tonight, so first Ryan tried to help her learn to use her tiny gun, but she never could quite get it…
She also wanted to open up her tiny garden from Aunt Meggie and Uncle Bo, and this turned out to be the cutest thing! It has all these little pieces of the flowers and stems and petals that fit together, and you can make and remake and rearrange them to your tiny hearts content. And it comes with a watering can. And she loved it!
She made two or three of these super tall leaning towers of every piece she could fit together, and thought it was just the funniest thing!
We decided to try brushing her teeth on the toilet tonight, just trying to change things up and try something new with the potty situation, but it didn’t make a difference, and she still didn’t go… But at least she’s got clean teeth!
And to continue the dinosaur theme & the birthday gift theme, we got out this book from Grandmommie about what a dinosaur girl does on her birthday. It was a really cute book, and she made me read it three times while she ate some Cheetos for her bedtime snack. 🙂
Also, Dr. Abby prescribed Emmie some prescription strength hydrocortisone for the eczema patch on her chin, and after using it twice daily for just four-ish days, it’s gotten so much more clear now! I told her I wanted to take a picture of her chin to show Dr. Abby, and she gave me these three silly faces.
