Molars & Club Sandwiches

I had both girls with me this morning, and they were so sweet in the car. Emmie was worried about the sad face Addie was making, so I told her, “See if she’ll let you hold her hand.” So she reached over and they held hands for the rest of the ride, which was like 10 minutes, and it was so cute.

Then Emmie and I took Addie to daycare, where she had a really quick, easy drop-off.

Then I took Emerson to her bi-annual dental cleaning. She watched “Polly Pocket” on the ceiling, and I got to read on my Kindle. The whole ordeal only lasted about 20 minutes (they’re so quick there!), and we were in & out in no time. She didn’t have any cavities, and she already has 2.5 of her 4 total six-year-old molars!

We got to summer camp right as car line drop-off was ending, so I walked her to the door. She started walking down the hall on her own, but then right after I took this pic, she turned out and reached for me, calling “Mommy!” So I walked her all the way down until she put her stuff down and headed off to join her group.

Tried a new frozen Indian meal for lunch today, and it was pretty good. It was actually spicier than I thought it was going to be, but not too spicy to eat.

I always pick up Emerson from camp first, and then the two of us pick up Addison together from daycare. Today, they had to take a bathroom break together, and then big sister helped baby sister wash her hands. It was very cute and very sweet, buuuuutt not very effective, because Addie was still soapy & dripping, even after they “finished” everything 😉

For dinner, I air-fried some french fries, and made ham & turkey & bacon club sandwiches, with bread I toasted on the stove top, and that sandwich was delicious.

We actually had kind of a rough evening on & off through the night, from one or more of us getting frustrated and upset. We talked through all of it each time, and we were all sweet and happy by bedtime. But both girls were very exhausted and fell asleep quickly.

I already washed up a big load of dishes before the girls’ bedtime, so I’m ready to sit down and chill out myself now, and just relax at the end of the day.
