Midday Movie Adventure

We’re back from our whirlwind trip to New Orleans! I’ll do a few posts for those days over the weekend, but today we’ll just share today… Jeff took this picture first thing this morning, when Emmie crawled into Addie’s bed with her to love on her. Such sweet little girls.

Then Addison specifically requested a picture by the castle this morning first. Also, we got them these beavers from Bucee’s yesterday, and Addie is very obsessed with it already.

And then we were back in our regular routine again!

So when I went to The Eras Tour movie last Saturday, they had already sold out of the collectible popcorn tins and cups, but they told me they should be restocked this week. So I called this morning when they opened and they assured me that not only did they have some, but that I could come in just to buy concessions without buying a movie ticket. So I called up Meg and asked if she wanted to go on a little adventure with me. Well, popcorn is both of our favorite snacks, so she agreed pretty quickly, once I confirmed we could actually eat the popcorn together 😉 I didn’t have lunch, but she just so happened to make two turkey sandwiches this morning, so she gave me one, and I gave her popcorn & coke! And we had a great spontaneous sister lunch together, eating popcorn and sandwiches in the AMC parking lot.

Addie having fun at school today…

And of course these little nuggets were very excited to find the popcorn buckled up in my front seat when I picked them up after school.

The girls and I went straight to play in the backyard when we got home, waiting on Daddy to bring pizza home for dinner. While we were out there, we saw these 4 giant military helicopters (or hopticopter’s, as Addison says!) circle over our neighborhood and yard a total of 8 times in about an hour and a half! They were so huge and so loud, and it was actually really cool!

Then we had pizza and popcorn on the back patio with our citronella candle, and stayed out until it was too dark and we just had to go back inside finally.

We bought this GIANT bag of popcorn on our road trip Tuesday, and clearly still haven’t finished it. Addie was carrying it around like this tonight, which is obviously hilarious.

We had some tv/movie time after dinner, and then got the girls ready for bed. Emerson was asleep in her bed very quickly, and Addison fell asleep on the couch with Daddy very quickly too, but she wasn’t ready for me to carry her to the crib yet, so I’ve gotta go back and scoop her up now too.
