Sweet, pretty girls, as happy as ever at drop-off this morning.
Addison is starting to stand on her own more & more often, even for just a few seconds at a time.
Such a pretty big girl, dressed up ready for ballet class this morning.
Our little 8-person unit at work decided we would start doing lunch all together every other month, and today was our first day. We’ve decided to go with the cliché of “lunch bunch,” and I even made a little “poster” to show each month & who’s turn it is. We drew numbers for who would get to pick the place each time, and today my friend Amanda chose Midtown Caboose. My “Italian Stallion” pizza burger (with spicy pepperoni, mozzarella & marinara) was delicious, and we had such a great time. The weather was great too, and we were glad to get to sit out on the back patio outside.
Emmie and her friends made stop lights today, for their “transportation” theme at school this week.
Addie Pie fell asleep on our ride home from school, just like she does pretty much every single day. Some days, she sleeps for another 30 minutes when we get home, but today, she woke up as we were carrying her into the house, and then was happy and ready to walk around with Daddy and play.
I had plans for Jeff to get some stuff in the crockpot for our dinner around lunch time, but he ended up having to go into his office today. So instead, I just heated up leftover pizza from last night for the three of us, and some butter noodles for Addie.
But since I didn’t really have to cook or clean tonight, we finished dinner early and had a good chunk of time to play and spend some time together.
And then eventually we got started on the bedtime routine, just slightly earlier than usual. (I’ve been trying to push it back earlier, in hopes that things may go more smoothly, if maybe we don’t let her get too over-exhausted.) But things did actually go pretty well tonight, once Jeff got her calmed down after her little mini-freakout session, and she was sound asleep by about 8:30 tonight, which was a vast improvement over a few nights ago.
Addie Pie went to sleep easy as pie tonight, with no issues.
Jeff is washing up the few dishes we have, and then we’re going to watch that second episode of “Moon Knight” that we planned to watch last night, because he fell asleep early and we didn’t watch anything at all 🙂
