Little Lunchbox Lady

Look at how precious this girl is, in her little jammies and bed head. Too adorable!! Helping make some cheese grits for breakfast!

Tater Tot had another good day at home, and basically just got to do whatever she wanted, per usual!

Our friend from church Abby (who also happens to be Emmie’s pediatrician) stopped by around lunch time to check on Emerson, and brought us a box of Panera treats. She stayed to chat for just a few minutes, whispered a few secrets to Emmie, and spoiled her with a giant pink flower cookie!

After a few bites of cookie though, she dug right into this giant croissant too. (She’s actually lost two pounds since we first checked into the hospital, so girlfriend can eat whatever she wants to try to bulk back up.)

You would never guess she wanted to go on a walk again today, in her jammies no less, pushing her baby bear in the stroller, until she finally got tired and decided she actually needed to ride instead.

She finally had a bath, and a change of clothes, and lunch followed by a nap. She randomly decided the other day she needed a lunch box. I tried to explain to her that at school, Miss Summer made them lunch every day and she didn’t need to carry a lunch box, but she really wanted one. So today I got out this one while she napped, and let her fill it with snacks when she woke up, and then she proceeded to talk about it and carry it around for most of the day afterwards.

We did some stickers together after I got off work, while we waited for our children’s director from church, who brought us dinner tonight. She volunteered to bring BBQ from 4 Rivers, and we certainly didn’t turn down that offer!

After our ridiculously long kitchen “reno” we’re still tying up a few loose ends. Like tonight, Jeff finally hung up my little hanging copper produce basket. The copper color definitely clashes with the “champagne bronze” color of our handles. I suggested we could spray paint it, but once we got it up there, and I stepped back a little, I hardly even noticed it. So I don’t know, I might still take it back down and spray paint it, but also, probably not 😉

We snuggled and did a few random things after dinner, and then before we knew it, it was almost Emmie’s bedtime. She was still toting around her little lunch box, so she unzipped it, and pulled out her bedtime snack! I was dying laughing at her.

My super goofy Little Lunchbox Lady! I love her so 🙂

As usual, she wasn’t tired and didn’t want to go to sleep, but bedtime actually went really smooth, all things considered. I’ve already got my super yummy smelling mulled cider burning, and the house smells amazing. It’s now time to watch a movie on the couch, and I’m gonna paint my fingernails, and then head off to read a little before bed. Night, friends!
