Lazy Lasagna

I typically try to coordinate the girls’ outfits whenever I can, even if they’re not perfectly matchy-matchy, I try to make them not clash, at the very least. We randomly chose a red & black theme for our coordinating outfits today, and even Jeff and I matched as well.

These first four photos are all practically identical, but Emmie looked so precious, and Addie was making the best faces! I actually took about 15, and narrowed it down to just these 😉

Another fun day at MSC for our biggest girl!

A quick library trip on my lunch time break today, to return an extremely over-due (by two+ months) and pay my fine. I had already gotten the “presumed lost” email last week, and then found the book last weekend. I was going to have to pay $20 if lost, but I didn’t know what I’d have to pay for it this late. But to my surprise, I only had to pay $1!

I love the little piggy-tails Addie’s teacher gave her today. Looks like she had a fun day!

Remember I’m trying to do a bit of a freezer clean-out for our meals this week? Well tonight, I put together a random little ravioli casserole from my freezer/pantry items, with some fresh mozzarella, using both Alfredo sauce and some leftover marinara with meat sauce I made a few weeks & froze the extra. It wasn’t groundbreaking or anything, but it was good! Jeff said it was kind of like a lazy lasagna, and I liked that comparison actually.

The salad I made though, was super delicious, with romaine lettuce, carrot shavings, feta cheese, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It reminded me a lot of the salads I used to make myself from the salad bar in my college dining hall, where I always loaded on the sunflower seeds, chick peas, and balsamic – then I would eat all the salad first, then all the toppings at the bottom of the bowl very last.

Look how cute this little puzzle turned out! We actually finished it up last night, so it only took us a couple of hours, over two days, but it was only 250 pieces. I definitely want to glue and frame this one, because I love it so much. Still don’t know where we’ll hang it, but I’m sure we’ll find a spot for it.

The girls both had a bath after dinner, and then we started on all of our usual bedtime routines.

Addison didn’t sleep well last night, and Jeff held her for most of the night. So tonight, he’s super tired and went to bed early, shortly after getting the girls down. So now I’m going to pick a movie on Netflix, and paint my nails.
