Today was Addie’s last water day at daycare for this summer, looking oh so precious in her little $3 thrifted “baby soup” I found her recently.
And it looks like they had such a great time in the water, and then took some class pictures with their teachers, before the move up to a new class in a couple of weeks.
And big sister and daddy were looking cute in their morning selfie.
I had a really delicious turkey sandwich with garlic dill mayo today from Uptown Cafe for lunch. So good, with that buttery grilled rye bread too.
Nana picked up Emmie from summer camp this afternoon and took her to gymnastics this evening. (I thought last week was the last week of the summer session, but Emmie said there were two weeks left, so I called to confirm, and she was right! So there’s still one more class next Friday.) Anyways, I picked up Addie after work and went to watch the last little bit of her class at the gym.
After gymnastics, Nana and I took Addie and Emmie back to their house, and Dave & Jeff picked up take-out Chinese food for dinner. Jeff helped change out Nana’s front headlights on her car, and the girls just played, for as long as we could stand it out in the heat. Then the girls had ice cream and popsicles to cool down.
Beautiful sunset sky over Leon High School on our way heading west down Tennessee Street tonight towards home.
Just wanted to show off my puzzle progress again at this point. The fruits were the “easy” part, and now I’ve moved onto the mostly green leaves and tiny white flowers. Trying to get all of those bits done, and then we’ll have to move on to the large swaths of completely cream-colored pieces (not pictured, as their in one of those puzzle-table-drawers).
We stayed out at Nana’s house too late, and kept the girls up really late, and Addie in particular was over-tired by the time we started her bedtime routine, really whiny and upset. But she’s fallen asleep on the couch next to Daddy, and we’ll have to tote her back to her room in a few minutes…
