In Our Crafting Era

We were very tired this morning and had a hard time waking up, but we did eventually get up and moving and dressed for the day.

Then we went up to Havana where Nana had made us pancakes and sausages for breakfast!

The girls played a little after eating, while we got things cleaned up.

And then we got back to our seashell-crafting, getting ready for the BGMC Missions Market which is next Sunday. We made a LOT of progress today, painting new shells, finishing up a few from last week, and just really settling into our crafting era. I don’t have a lot of pictures of the craft process though, because my hands were usually covered in paint and/or mod podge.

After a few hours, we took a little break to have some fun. Jeff, Dave and the girls tried out their “new” golf cart that someone gave them, but unfortunately there’s something wrong with it and it doesn’t really work, so they gotta figure that out…

We also went to the little park and playground for some fun. They had a Veteran’s day program there today, so there was still some of that going on winding down at the very end. And some nice people in the food truck gave the girls some leftover cake pops for free, since they were closing up.

Late lunch on the back porch around 2pm…

And then we actually went back to crafting for a few more hours… Finally, around 5pm, we took another break for outside backyard and hot tea time.

We had another round of soup and sandwiches for dinner, the girls got into the bathtub, and we finished some more of the seashells. By this point, it was less mess, and more string-tying, so I finally snapped a couple more pics.

It was a good day of crafting and chillin’ and good food made my someone other than me 😄 Jeff and I are both still practically hackin’ up our lungs though, and the girls have started to cough some too. We’re all loading up on the meds and Emergen-C, and still trying to get some good rest. Pray for us to all get healthy!
