My brain is FRIED from a chaotic day at work today. I’m just pretty much done with thinking for the day, so today’s post will be short and sweet and simple…
Pretty girl in a cute dress, excited for her chocolate chip muffin!
Pear Gorgonzola salad (from a bagged kit) for lunch, and more of this library book which is so, so good.
Jeff had to run over to his parents house to let their dogs out for them, so he picked up Emerson from school, and I went straight home. We had spaghetti & meatballs for dinner, but instead of spaghetti noodles, it was bowtie pasta. An Emerson just shocked us with bow many meatballs she ate! I started her with two, but she finished those off quickly, and said, “more meatballs please!” So we kept giving her the ones out of our bowls, and I think she must have eaten like six or seven before she finally quit! Also, she’s learned to buckle herself in now, and always wants to do it.
But immediately after dinner, she was already asking for a snack!
She also asked for milk, but we ran out this morning. So Daddy had the idea to not only run out to buy milk, but to go to Bruester’s for a special ice cream treat! They give kids under 40 inches tall a free scoop (cup or cone) so Emerson got her very own cone, and the scooper thought she was just so cute, and gave her sprinkles too!
My favorite is chocolate raspberry truffle.
She ate the whole thing! (All except aboht three or four bites of the last of the cone.)
We did a quick bath at home (to wash off the sweat and the ice cream), and then got ready for bedtime.
She is so cute and silly!! She was doing this funny stuff with her shoulders, and then kept getting closer and closer to the camera.
She needed two rounds of our three regular lullabies tonight before she was ready to lay down in her crib, but after that, she was really sweet and ready to go to sleep.
Like I mentioned before, my brain just feels fried today, and I feel super sleepy. I’m sure we’ll watch a little something on tv, but I’m going to attempt to be in bed early tonight, so wish me luck with that!
