Hazelnut Crunch

My cute little Addie Pie had a little bit of chocolate from her granola bar on her mouth, and still as cute as always.

And it looks like Daddy and Emmie had a little gas station stop for breakfast on the way to school this morning.

When I got back to school to pick up Addison this afternoon, she was sitting there reading a book next to her other little friend. She looked up at me and was like, “I can’t leave cuz I’m not done reading yet.” And she literally just sat there flipping the pages until she was finally ready to go.

And then we got to see Aunt Meggie and Hayden and the trippies! When Emmie saw this photo later, she was like, “Oh wow, that’s such a good one of them!” 🤣

Up tonight in the grocery saga of the week… We were supposed to have little chicken sandwiches tonight, but they didn’t give us the chicken patties. So I reached for the frozen pizza instead, but the margherita pizza I ordered was substituted for a cauliflower crust pepperoni and mushroom pizza. (And we had a plain cheese one for the girls.) I was afraid Jeff and I wouldn’t like the cauli-crust one, so I threw together this slightly random dip to eat with some Fritos, which turned out to be yummy. But surprisingly, the cauli-crust pizza was really good!

Here’s my birthday gift from Jeff – some fancy markers and cute new coloring books, plus cute little flower clips that go on the air vent in the car. And he also picked up my free birthday cake from Publix. He got the chocolate hazelnut crunch cake, because I looove hazelnut, and that cake was SO good.

If you didn’t know, Publix will give you a free pint of ice cream, frozen yogurt, or a bar cake for your birthday. If you use their app or enter your phone number, that’s all you have to do to get it free!

After our weird little dinner, and delicious chocolate cake, the girls started getting ready for bed. Addie pie crawled up in my lap and wanted me to hold her like a baby. She just nuzzled in and closed her eyes and laid there in my arms with her chocolate mouth for like five minutes, and she was just so stinking sweet.

And then right as it was time to go to bed, Emerson remembered she had homework, so we scrambled to get that finished before we got started on her bedtime routine.

Time to relax with some tv and coloring time now!
