Started out the morning bright and early (as usual, pre-7am), but she was super sweet, as usual. She was holding baby Moana like a baby while singing “Jesus Loves Me” to her.
Then she helped me cook breakfast! Egg-in-the-hole for Mommy and Daddy, and scrambled for her. Jeff was impressed the first time he saw me make scrambled eggs like this – I just crack them directly into the flattop, let them fry long enough to set just a little, them scramble with a fork and cook. Saves dirtying up an extra dish, and it’s so easy!
We had a nice, chill morning at home together, drawing, coloring, playing, reading, cleaning, and playing in the backyard a little too.
And here are the new pillows we got! The white-ish ones are inserts & covers from IKEA, the dark gray are super soft from Ross, and the blue one is my fave of the new ones, and it’s from Bealls Outlet. We also got a pair of light gray ones from Bealls outlet, but they were almost the exact same color as the couch, and disappeared, so we’re going to take those back. But I love it all so much! It’s got me realllyyyyyy wanting to finally paint the kitchen cabinets, after 3+ years of living in this house!
She brought me her cell phone and told me to take a picture.
Daddy taught her how to roll down the hill!
She had cheese noodles for lunch before naptime, and then went down easy because she was exhausted.
I added this “Bibliophile” library book to my coffee table stack, and it looks so good, I might have to purchase a copy to keep there more permanently!
Emmie only slept for about an hour, and during that time Jeff and I ate lunch, and I painted my toe nails. But she was ready to play some more when she woke up!
I took a shower, then gave her a bath, and we finally all got dressed for the day, around 3pm 😆 And we went to Publix to pick up food to grill out, and we invited my parents and Grandmommie over to have dinner with us!
As we walked past a freezer end-cap, she pointed and hollered, “I want those Paw Patrol snacks!” So I backed up to check, and these Eggos were BOGO, so we got them for her.
And my new Grove box came today! My sister ordered for the first time a few days ago, and got me a $10 credit, so I got all this for only a few dollars.
And it was such nice grilling weather! We enjoyed being outside for a good bit this morning and again this afternoon, and this warm-ish January weather was so nice!
We were also supposed to have corn on the cob… But since it’s winter, and there’s no fresh stuff, we bought frozen, and it took wayyyy too long to cook.
Grammy got her in her jammies, and got her a gingerbread cookie for a snack. Then she read books with her, and said her prayers, and then Emmie wanted mommy to rock her and sing lullabies.
Bedtime went well, and we only needed one extra lullaby before she was ready to lay down. I’m too tired to do all the dishes, so those can wait for tomorrow.
