Cutie baby girl, in a cute little lady bug outfit. We purchased this at the One Week Boutique quite some time ago, and she just now grew into it. (Well, the bloomers are still too big for her tiny waist, but at least they weren’t actually falling off of her.) “New” clothes are fun!
This pose she’s doing is just so weird and funny to me!
When Jeff’s mom brought the boys home last night, she also brought us the leftover pizza, so I had that for lunch today, plus these three tiny cherry plums. I’m now at roughly 80% of “Educated,” so I’m hoping I can finish up tomorrow!
Ms. Kristin is Emmie’s lead teacher, and she’s the one that always takes so many photos, but she’s out sick for a few days, so this is the only one we got today. At least she looks cute and happy in it!
Grammy picked up Emerson from school, then Grandmommie from her house. Aunt Suzanne and I came from work, and we had a ladies dinner at Moe’s. (Papa was at work, Uncle Keith had a meeting, Jeff & the boys ate with the youth at church tonight.)
In the photo below, Grandmommie had shown her how to dip her chips in the south cream (Emmie said the queso was too spicy for her), and I wanted a photo of her sour cream mouth. I asked her to show me her mouth, but she stuck out her hand. So look closely at her mouth 😂
We had free time tonight as usual before heading into church, so we just walked up and down the sidewalks, and in the grass, in the rocks, and had a good ole time.
Then she was very helpful carrying in my 2018 Singing Christmas Tree folder, so I could return it tonight. (It just randomly popped up around the house last week, and I have no idea where it came from…?)
Choir was good tonight – we started learning a couple of new songs, and this one was particularly challenging. We were sight-reading this one (which means we didn’t know it yet, and we’re just trying it out for the first time), and there had to have been like 10 key changes, and we were doing okay, but kinda getting chaotic, and when we got to the big, dramatic, climactic point, our director yelled, “Just hit whatever note, but sing it loud!” I was amused 😊 (Also, I just noticed it says the music is based on Gregorian chant, so that outta tell ya something about this arrangement!)
After choir, Emerson and I went down to the other side of the church to check on Jeff and the boys at the youth’s messy game night. They were mostly done, and most people had gone home, but Emerson had a blast running around the fellowship hall, playing with her bubba’s and the balls for a while!
She was being crazy about her pajamas at home, and didn’t want the yellow nightgown, or the pink top & black pants from a few nights ago (we typically repeat jammies multiple times, because she’s not doing anything but sleeping in them, so they’re not dirty). She kept saying “No jammies. Clothes!” And pointing at her closet. But then I had an idea, and I pulled out a plain white t-shirt, and little PJ shorts, and after like I was really excited about it, and that did the trick! And look how adorable she is!
All three boys had to take showers after messy night (they were drenched in sweat and shaving cream), but they’re all clean now. We only made it through half of the first episode of “Lost in Space” last night, because they were too tired after swimming. But they also said they were only sorta into it. I think we might force them to at least finish the episode tonight though, before they try to say they don’t like it. So we’ll see how that goes…
