It’s Red Ribbon week at Gilchrist, which is basically the updated version of D.A.R.E. from the 90’s for us Millennials. They have dress-up days every day, with cute little names like, “Give Drugs the Boot” for rodeo/western day. So she was looking super cute with piggy tails, flannel & boots today! ðŸ¤
And here’s my cutie with her cutie little pumpkin! Jeff helped her take it to school today, and was able to go inside with her and get it all set up. She was so proud of it.
Addison wasn’t in the mood for pictures today, but she did correctly count the five pumpkins on the menu board at school. 🤣
We had crab cakes from Aldi for dinner tonight. Well, Jeff and I did, but the girls didn’t like it, so they just ate the sides. I kinda figured that would happen though, so it wasn’t a surprise. But we liked them and thought they were really good.
The girls shared a chocolate-covered rice krispy treat that Jeff brought home for them for their dessert, while watching Bluey of course.
Then I took both girls back to Emmie’s room, and Emerson read them both a few books for bedtime. Addie kept asking for one more, and told us she wanted to read four books, but we finally called it quits after three books.
They were very sweet together, and I loved watching them so much. We don’t normally read with both of them together, but we should! Maybe we’ll try to work this into our regular routine more often and see how it works out.
I washed up a good amount of dishes earlier while dinner was baking, and Jeff has been working on laundry off & on throughout the night. We did a little too much playing and not enough working over the weekend, so we’re trying to get caught up a bit. I need to wash up a little bit more, and did a quick living room tidy-up (Emmie did a little bit earlier, but I need to finish some things), and then I’ll probably play a new video game Jeff showed me, that’s like really calm and relaxing and just fun little challenges to solve without any villains or dying or anything….
