Gilchrist Glow Gallery

Emerson was excited for class picture day today, and Addison was just excited to go back to school and play with her friends! I loved the tiny little simple braid I put in Emmie’s hair today too, super cute.

We went out with our little group for my friend Heather’s birthday lunch today, at Midtown Caboose. And as always, we had a great time, and ate some great food.

After school and work, we had a super quick dinner Jimmy John’s near Emmie’s school, so that we could go to the spring art show afterwards. We found the little framed self-portrait she had been working on, and she was SO proud of it. WE also got to check out the glow gallery in their art room, and that was so cool!

(Strangely, we’re doing the same weird pose with our arms across our stomachs, and I have no idea what that was about.)

I love that she put a crown on her head, and even did blue eyes. And she told us those gray circles around the chin area is actually a necklace. So sweet!

And this is the glow-in-the-dark alien Emmie made!

And look how cool the whole glow gallery was!

Once we got home it was all the usual stuff – only Emmie fell asleep super duper fast, passed out on the couch, and Addie flopped around fighting sleep in my arms for over an hour, until Jeff finally took over for me and tried to get her down. I’m hoping that she’s finally fallen asleep while I’ve been writing this.
