Fun Friday

Emmie was finally feeling better today, and was ready to head back to camp. Big sister was ready for sports day at East Hill, and little sister was ready for water day at Growing Room!

And we got a few pics of Addie playing in the water at school.

I worked a very busy 6-hour-day with no actual lunch break, and then got off at 2pm. I picked up Emerson from camp, and took her to the pediatrician’s office for her annual well check appointment. Everything went very quick and easy, and we were out of there fast.

We had some free time after the doctor’s appointment, so we went by Grammy’s office for a quick visit, and a snack in their fancy remodeled break room.

And then we still had more free time, so we went to Kids Point for some consignment shopping. We found a “new” bathing suit for both girls, and a pair of shorts and swim cover-up for Emmie. We hadn’t been there in years, but we will definitely be back soon. Everything was so clean and well organized, and actually cheaper than I expected. (I thought it would be “expensive” used clothes, but all four things we got totaled $20, so I think that’s a great deal.)

After our shopping, we picked up baby sister from school, and headed to TGC for Emerson’s Friday night gymnastics class. Grammy had sent us with some peanut butter cookie-sandwiches, which was perfect cuz baby sister needed a snack while we sat and watched “Memmie” out on the floor.

Jeff was in charge of ordering us some pizza for dinner tonight, and he chose this crazy pickle, bacon, ranch pizza for us, and a small Hawaiian flatbread at Emmie’s request.

And then we just had a really calm, really chill Friday night, eating pizza and introducing the girls to “Oliver and Company.” (Well, the first part at least; we’ll have to finish it another day.) But both girls are sleep now, so we’re going to start up on “Oppenheimer” again, for the third night, and see how far we get again tonight…

While Emmie and I were driving around town, singing along to praise and worship music together, shopping and visiting and drinking coffee, she was like, “I like today, it’s a fun Friday together, Mommy.”
