So I didn’t plan to go through all the boxes of clothes that my friend dropped off yesterday, until this coming weekend after, I finished reorganizing her dressers and packing away some of the stuff she had grown out of. But we peeked into one of the boxes, and this super soft Minnie Mouse dress was right on top, so of course Miss Priss insisted on wearing it to school today!
And you know she was absolutely thrilled when she discovered the dress had POCKETS! The girls loves pockets.
In addition to the everything bagel seasoning discovery, I’ve also discovered how to save half an avocado without it turning brown and gross. I use half an avocado per two pieces of bread. Then I leave the pit in the second half, wrap it up in plastic wrap, put it in an air-tight Tupperware, and put it in the fridge. Then the next day, it’s still nice and pretty and bright green!
Little Bitty girl had a great day at school today, and took a nice long almost-two-hour nap. I loved seeing the pictures of her eating her lunch too, since we don’t normally see her little meals at school.
Emerson specifically requested that Daddy pick her up from school today, so he picked her up, then ran one quick errand before coming home. I sat on the couch reading for about 30 minutes, and then made us homemade pizza for dinner, which was timed perfectly and ready just a few minutes after they got back home.
I worked on her clothes and dressers some more tonight after dinner, and got one more box of tiny clothes boxed up, plus a box to donate, and the bag is clothes for the triplets. I’ve emptied two of the four drawers in the tall dresser, so I’m halfway there to getting it totally emptied and then moved out of her room. Because once that’s empty, we’re moving it out of her room, and Jeff’s going to build her new play kitchen right there in that space!
In all our cleaning and organizing, I found this little wooden “E” in one of her drawers. We used a couple sheets of the stickers we got for her birthday, and decorated it with fruits and veggies, and covered every bit of the front of it that we could! And it was a very easy, very fun little craft, and I felt like a good Mama for that little activity 😉
Since everyone gave me such grief about her sad potty picture last night, here are a couple silly ones to make up for that.
It wasn’t all smiles and giggles though, and things went downhill after that… We had our usual potty stand-off, but she never went. I offered her M&M’s, and it didn’t work. I threatened her with no snacks and having to wear panties all night and wet her bed, and it didn’t work. She never went.
But she did end up going to sleep just fine, with lots of sweet cuddles and loves, and hopefully she doesn’t leak out of her pull-up overnight. I’m not in the mood for washing any dishes or cleaning up the living room, so I’m just gonna pretend it doesn’t exist for now, and sit down to relax.
