Friday Night Girls Night

Hooray for Friday! After a very short 3-day work week last week, this full 5-day work week felt more like 10 days… So we were all very happy to have made it through the week!

Little Addie, a tiny bookworm just like her mama!

I’m just loving my little desktop jungle happening over in the corner of my office, with all my cute “house” plants!

I got both girls picked up from school and summer camp like usual, and then just heated up some leftovers from the week. We watched a little puppy dog show on Disney (not Bluey actually at this point), and ate dinner at the coffee table. But it was just me and the girls, because Jeff went tonight to go halfway towards getting the twins tomorrow. So Jeff is actually at his brother’s how in middle-Georgia for the night, to get the boys tomorrow morning.

We had a video call with Daddy for a while so the girls could be silly and goofy and chat with him. They also got to say hi to Uncle Brad too, and he’s always goofy and makes them laugh a lot. I chatted with Jeff for a bit too before we hung up, and then it was time to get the girls to sleep.

I held Addison and rocked in her the chair, and Emerson cuddled up on the couch, and both of them actually fell asleep very quickly and easily, listening to our black-screen-ocean-waves YouTube video that we always put on in the living room at bedtime. I stayed there holding Addie for about 20 minutes, before taking her to her bed, then I carried Emmie to her bed too.

I still never finished watching the Taylor Swift “1989” concert on YouTube, so I’ve been watching and singing along to that again tonight while I’ve been writing. I’ve actually just got about 20 minutes left, so I think I’ll stay up here in this front room for now, farther from the girls, so I can keep singing while I finish it up.
