Fresh Eggs & Egg Noodles

Somehow, I just didn’t take too many photos today, but the ones I have are cute ones. Like these adorable, very closer sisters before school this morning.

WHY was the Wordle so tricky today? Check out my screenshot… On guess #6, I knew there were still 3 good possible answers, but I was feeling optimistic with my choice, and unfortunately still got it wrong…

My friend Heather brought me this giant container of fresh eggs from her backyard chickens. They’re so pretty, and I’m thinking I need to make a giant sausage, egg & cheese casserole this weekend with these beauties. (When I showed Emmie tonight when we got home, and said they were from my friends chickens, she was like, “Are we going to hatch them into chickens?!”)

We got a few pictures of Addie and her little friends at school today.

For Emerson’s last gymnastics class this session, Papa showed up to surprise her to watch today. She has really thrived in this little once a week, one-hour class for the past 5 weeks, and I’m so glad we were able to do this. I’m glad I was able to finally get her registered (after trying multiple times), and I’m so glad Grammy was able to pick her up and get her there on time, for 4 of the 5 weeks! Hoping and crossing our fingers we can get her into the next summer session too.

I left out all the ingredients this morning for Jeff to get the crockpot beef stroganoff going after he took Emmie to school. So when we got home after gym, we just had to boil some egg noodles and steam some broccoli, and then everything was ready for one of our favorite, easy, yummy dinners.

After dinner, I did bath time for the girls, while Jeff did a few chores around the house, like starting a load of laundry, and refilling all our hand-soaps around the house. Then I washed up some dishes (and finished listening to “Mockingjay” on audio book) while he cuddled the girls, until it was time to start on bedtime. And as you can see, they were both exhausted and went to sleep easily. (We’ve been reading our bedtime story in Ryan’s bed every night, and then heading to Emmie’s bed, because she misses him and

I think Jeff is working on folding some clean laundry (or at least he was “supposed” to), and we’re going to start the first “Mockingjay” movie tonight, but the final book was split into two movies, so it’ll take us quite a bit to work through that, as y’all know I tend to fall asleep on the couch…
