We’ve had such a great Saturday! We started with egg sandwiches at home first. Then Emerson and I met up with other GC Girls & moms at the nail salon! This was Emerson’s very first real pedicure at the salon (not just our at-home ones), and we got to have our pedicures side-by-side, and we even chose the same matching purple color for our toes.
It was funny, because the triplets were already done with their pedicures by the time it was our turn, but they were so interested in watching Emerson’s pedicure, and loved being all up next to her.
And then we enjoyed a nice little girls lunch with Grammy, Aunt Meggie and the triplets at our favorite sandwich shop in town, Hopkins.
While we were doing that, Jeff and Addie went to take care of his parents’ dogs, and hung out at their house a bit, snacking on their popcorn. They had lunch at home once they got back, and then Daddy got her ready for nap time.
After our pedicures and girls’ lunch, I took Emerson to a school friends’ birthday party. They had this giant bounce house with a water slide and a trampoline and a little tea party set up in the garage (which was the nicest, cleanest garage I’ve ever seen). I sat on the deck under the umbrella with my orange-slice-water, chatting with a few other moms, and it was so nice and lovely outside.
Emmie with the sweet little birthday girl at the end of the party, right before we left.
Emerson and I picked up our Walmart grocery order on our way home from the party, and finished listening to the audio book for “Charlotte’s Web.”
Then we had just a little bit of quiet chill time while Addie was still napping. Eventually, we all piled up in the car and ran a couple quick errands.
While we were driving around, we were listening to a Shane & Shane worship album. They’re some of Jeff’s favorites, and he loves listening to them all the time. I’ve never listened to this album before (I think it just came out a couple of months ago), but I was seriously brought to tears when Jeff and Emmie were singing this song together. Emmie actually knew almost all of the words, because they listen to this on their morning rides to school, and that just made my heart so so so happy.
And then ended up at Takko Korean Taqueria for dinner. And since the weather was still so perfect, we sat outside on the patio, and it was just perfect and so nice. And the food was delicious.
We stopped by Nana’s house one more time to take care of their doggies again, before they get back tonight from a church trip they took.
It was already a little past bedtime once we made it back home, so we immediately got the girls in their jammies, and started on their bedtime routines. Addie was easy and totally asleep in no time, but Emmie wanted extra loves so Daddy is still cuddling her while I’ve been writing this. I’m sure she’s sound asleep by now though, so I’ll go love on her and carry her to her bed for the night.
