Happy Valentine’s Day, friends and family! Look at these two cuties, ready for Valentine’s parties and exchanging little treats with their friends.
The back of Addie’s dress was really cute, and Emmie picked out her giant Gilchrist hair bow, so we had to do a shot of the back of both of them today.
Jeff stayed home to sleep off a migraine this morning, so I took both of the girlies to their schools today, and we had a great morning of drop-off’s and singing along all together to “Wicked.”
Leftover pizza and a simple salad for lunch, and finishing up “Onyx Storm.” The very ending chapter or so left me totally confused and thinking I needed to re-read it. So I hopped on TikTok for answers, but it seems like everyone else was just as confused as I was. But there are tons of theories and explanations that helped me make sense of what I read. I actually thought this was supposed to be the final book in a trilogy, but I learned today that there will be five books in the series. Apparently, I’m late to the game and this is not new news, but now we have to wait a long time for the next book to clear up about a million things that were left on a cliffhanger.
Jeff woke up after lunch time again feeling better than first thing this morning, and got out and about to bring me a coffee! 7Brew had a special deal for two coffees today, and he chose a raspberry white mocha for me, and it was delicious.
Loved getting to see pictures of Addie’s cute little class party today at her school.
We decided to go low-key and casual for our Valentine’s Day date tonight, and to take the girls with us! Jeff had some BOGO burger deals in his Whataburger app, and we were pleasantly surprised to find they had decorated so fun and festive. They even had one table set up with a tablecloth and centerpiece. The girls thought it was just the best!
Papa brought lunch to Emerson today for her final day of Grandparents’ week, and went to the book fair together too of course. And so my Emmie girl had to bring her book to dinner with us.
And then we walked right next door to the Donut Kingdom / Mo’ Cookies shop for dessert. The girls both wanted cotton candy ice cream, so we got them each one scoop. They had a special Valentine’s box with three cookies and two chocolate covered strawberries, and everything was very delicious.
When we got back home, the girls were both looking through their treat bags from school, and Addie got a cute little white board in hers. Emmie snuck it away and left a cute note on it on Addie’s bed, and Addie loved finding it at bedtime. She was like, “Hey! Who wrote my name on this?!”
Emerson also left cute little notes on mine and Jeff’s pillows tonight too, but I forgot to take a picture of those.
