Drop Everything Now

We went with a tropical, turquoise theme with our outfits today, for no reason at all. (You’ll see later that even my dress went with the theme.) Then Addie wouldn’t start making these weird faces with her tongue. I ended up taking 24 pictures, just to get a good one or two 🙂

Today was another girls’ lunch with Mama, Aunt Suzanne, and Megan, at arguably one of our very favorite spots together, Cava. We all got something different, and they all looked so different, and mine was sooo good, as always. And we had a great time together too, as always.

Addie continued doing silly things with her mouth/tongue at school through the day too. But it looks like she had a fun day!

I picked up a small Walmart grocery order after work, with a few things to get ready for Emerson’s birthday party tomorrow. Then I just put a frozen deep dish pizza in the oven when we got home. (These are our current fave, and they’re very good.) Then we just ate in the living room, and watched “Mulan.”

After dinner, I popped back into the kitchen, and put together a Hawaiian mac salad, to take to my mom’s house tomorrow, for Emerson’s family birthday dinner, following the pool party for some of her little girlfriends.

We just hung out in the living room, playing and letting Mulan finish playing, with Addie being so sweet and having so much fun. She wrapped her little blanket around her head like this, and thought it was so funny. And really, it was funny, because she was in such a funny mood tonight, being so silly and goofy all night.

In case you’ve noticed there were only photos and mentions of Addie so far tonight, that’s because she’s the only kid in the house! Emerson was picked up by Grammy today, and went over to their house for a sleepover. My mom made her famous poppy seed chicken & rice, and Emmie cleaned her plate. Then she made her little bejeweled water bottle that Ms. Q sent her for her birthday.

Painted my nails purple with glitter last night, in honor of the release of the re-recorded “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” which came out today. And obviously of course I’ve been listening to it all day long in the car and at work. I actually wasn’t a big fan of hers when this came out the first time back in 2010, so although I know some of the more popular songs from the album, most of these songs are basically brand new for me, so this is going to be fun, learning a whole new T-Swift album again! 🙂

Emerson should be asleep with Grandmommie by now, and Jeff got Addison to sleep really easily tonight, since we let her stay up later than usual. And now I’m tired and have a slight headache, and I’m just really ready to plop down on the couch and turn my brain off…
