Cute little matchy sister girls, both are whom are the best sister ever!
Met up with my Mama for lunch at Cava today. It’s one of my favorite places because it’s yummy of course, but I also love just loading up a bowl of mush with a million veggies and toppings and sauces. It’s one of my favorite things, getting to pick all the fun toppings for meals/restaurants like this!
We had yummy food, and a great time together!
Then at 1:30pm, we got the dreaded call from daycare saying Addie Pie had a slight fever. It was only 100.8, but we had to go pick her up. Jeff offered to pick her up, and the plan was to bring her to my office and then I would take her home. But things at my office were an absolute “dumpster fire” this afternoon, and two other supervisors were gone, so I was supervising my unit plus one other one, and we just had pure chaos erupting this Friday the 13th. So I stayed at work, and Jeff went on home with Addie girl.
and wouldn’t you know it, but she talked him into getting some chicken nuggets on the way home 😉
Emerson started a new session of gymnastics today, so Grammy picked her up from school right when she got out. she took her to Trousdell, and Papa & Grandmommie showed up to surprise her and watch as well. Then they let her pick a restaurant for dinner, and because she loves Chinese food, she chose the Panda Buffet, just like on her birthday 😉 And now she’s actually at their house having a sleepover!
I got stuck at work just a little bit late, but I was able to just come straight home after work, since Emmie was with Grammy. Someone brought a big bag of tiny apples to share today, so I brought home a few and diced one up for my littlest for a snack, since she wanted one as soon as she saw them.
I immediately lit the pumpkin candle tonight, and kept the lights low on this rainy evening. Then I sliced up some red onion, scattered them on a cheese pizza, and threw it in the oven for dinner. And because I love onions and didn’t actually have anything else to add, I also sprinkled fresh chives on top after it baked and that was yummy.
And as you can see, this little girl is feeling just fine, so I have no idea what that random little fever was about…
Double Onion pizza – just my taste.
After pizza time was puzzle time. This is the progress I made the other night, and I was able to add a little more on to this earlier, mainly around the yellow sunset area.
Addie saw me take a picture, and wanted to try to take a picture of the puzzle too, so I showed her how and helped her do it, and she was very proud of herself for getting a picture of the puzzle and Dumbo.
After she “helped” me with the puzzle (she actually did pick up a piece and handed it to me, and I was able to place it on the edge), she decided we needed to watch Frozen and she needed to be Elsa and she “froze” the back door and turned it into ice.
But before long, my girl was exhausted (her nap got cut in half today at school), so she had her nighttime sleepy gummy, and cuddled up next to Mama to watch Bluey. We watched two short little episodes, then put on one of our sleepy lo-fi ambiance videos on YouTube, and her and I both fell asleep in just a few minutes.
I think it’s time now for a movie, more puzzling, and probably some popcorn later!
