This baby girl is just so silly, and I love seeing all her funny little faces. I also love when she’s in a great mood at school drop-off, and I don’t feel like I need to worry about her having a good day… Today was one of those good days!
Today’s lunch was a repeat of yesterday – ravioli bake & Netflix, and so I didn’t even take a photo. After work, I picked up Emmie and headed home, and Jeff grabbed some sausage for us from Publix on the way home. We ran around the backyard for just a few minutes, and she picked me a few more flower-weeds again today.
Emerson sat at the counter putting on her “goulash” while I cooked. We did breakfast for dinner, and I cooked shredded hash browns, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties. Plus, I made decaf coffee, which was so yummy and perfect with dinner!
And Emerson ate really well for dinner. She always loves scrambled eggs, and has really taken to sausage lately too. I helped her get bites on her fork of all three foods, to show her how great mixing it all together is, and she loved it! I ended up helping her finish eating like that, making up all her bites for her.
She wanted some of my coffee, and since it was decaf, why not? And of course she loved it! Especially since I like a lot of hazelnut creamer in my coffee. She was taking these very dramatic slurps, making all sorts of noise, and it was hilarious & adorable. She’s clearly an early adopter on the coffee front.
After we finished eating, it was bath night for this silly goose, followed by books and bedtime, in her new purple nightgown , that is also wayyy too big for her but she still insisted on wearing again.
Have you ever seen anything sweeter than this little face right here?!
After the bath, her fingers were all wrinkly and pruny, so I gave her lotion to rub in on her hands, and told her the lotion would make the pruny get better. So as she rubbed her hands together over & over for a few minutes, she kept repeating, “make the pruny better, make the pruny better.”
She had to do all sorts of arranging of her books while she was picking out the ones for tonight, and she was just murmuring all about it while she worked.
And of course she had to give Mr. Narwhal a big giant hug before bedtime!
She specifically asked to sleep with her little Charlie Brown tonight, so I tucked them both under the blanket. When I started singing “Jesus Loves Me,” and scratching her back, she told me I needed to scratch his back too, so I had to go back and forth, scratching them both. So silly!
Once I got her & Charlie Brown all settled in for sleepy times, I washed up the dishes, and cleaned the kitchen, and did a couple of things on my list of chores to do before the tea party. I took a break from chores to write this blog post & watch Netflix while I wrote, but now I’m going to get back to work, and do one or two more things on my to-do list. And then it’ll finally be time to hit the hay!
