Creole Lunch

Look how adorable my girls are, in another set of matching outfits. I just love it so much! They’re so cute and happy.

Went out to lunch today with my three work buddies, to celebrate Tammy’s birthday. She chose Harry’s, and that’s really a favorite for all of us. Look at all this delicious food! I had the grilled mahi tacos, Heather and Tammy actually both had these amazing baked scallops (they shared a few bites for me to try), and Toni had the chicken & shrimp creole, which she also let me try, and it was delicious.

Addie had another great day at school.

We had our last Fresh Market meal for dinner tonight, and I saved the easiest for last. The potatoes & zucchini were both in microwave steamer bags, and the pork just heated up in the oven for 15 minutes. And that pork was super good, even better than I was expecting, and the girls absolutely loved it too.

Nana actually came over tonight to be with the girls, while Jeff and I went to a special worship night at church. It was an incredible night of worship, and I was glad we were able to attend. (Megan actually led a song, and it made me cry it was so beautiful, and I’m just so proud of her.)

Emerson had already taken her “sleepy gummy” (melatonin) before we got back home, so she was very sleepy and ready for bed, but she wanted to some mommy-daughter cuddle time in my bed. But girlfriend was out like a light super quickly. And Addison was asleep with Jeff, until I tried to lay her down in her crib and she freaked out and screamed and cried and wailed, so I brought her back to Daddy, and they’re currently still cuddling in the recliner.

We’ve got lots of chores and errands and random things to do this weekend, so it’s a good thing it’s a three-day weekend!
