Love these two cuties, looking adorable and beautiful before church this morning. Loved their little dress & tennis shoes combo they were both rocking. Emmie just jazzed hers up a little with some Springtime Tallahassee parade beads, and a new anklet Nana got her at the art festival yesterday.
Emmie got a special donut treat this morning before she headed off to kids church.
We picked up a super quick lunch after a great morning at church, and then met up with our Connect Group at the FSU circus for the afternoon. I’d been once before (back in 2017 when I was pregnant with Emerson), but it’s such a cool performance!
Addie had a hard time sitting still for the 2-hour show, so Jeff took her on a walk at one point, to get some water and cool off in the a/c in the car, and she stole our coke zeroes leftover from lunch.
At one point, Kensley came over to sit by me and took my phone and took a bunch of terrible pictures of the circus, but also took this cute selfie too 🤣
Emerson took her own tiny camera again today, and was very serious about all the photos she was taking, so that she could show her friends and tell them all about it tomorrow.
By the time we were in the car afterwards at 4:15pm, and Addison had skipped naptime for the circus, she was immediately asleep on our way home. So Jeff and Emmie went inside, and I sat in the car with her while she slept another 20-ish minutes or so.
Then we didn’t have much time to just sit and chill and rest, before it was already time to start getting ready for dinner. We hadn’t had the “viral grinder salad sandwiches” from last summer in a long time, and it was sooo good again tonight. Plus the super fresh tomatoes from the farmer’s market stand yesterday, and the homemade garlic dill pickles. Yum.
I made Addie a baby charcuterie plate with just ripped up meat, cheese & chips, and girlfriend ate every single bite and left no crumbs. Emmie ate really well too, and then did a little bit of artwork
I took some time to wash up all the dishes while Jeff took care of the girls, and then after a long, busy day, without any real naps, the girls were more than ready for bedtime, and both of them went down quickly and easily.
And after a long, busy day without a nap for me either, I’m also more than ready to sit down and rest, and I’ll probably end up going to bed early tonight myself.
