Four of our little sweeties all together again this morning at school, wearing coincidentally coordinated outfits again.
And the biggest girl had Daddy drop her off at church for another morning of VBS.
Then today it was my turn to pick her up after it was over, so I got to sit up in the balcony and watch their last song, before everything ended at noon. They had this fun little backdrop set up, that makes it look like their in a cute little studio, and Emmie thought this was the coolest thing ever, once I cropped the photo just right and showed her how it turned out.
We got a couple pictures of Addison having fun and doing some crafts at school today.
And then apparently both girls had some sort of accidents at school today, because they both came home wearing different clothes than what we had sent them in this morning. Addie was in this giant Growing Room t-shirt that was just swallowing her.
I made breakfast sandwiches with sweet potato fries and my own concoction of sauce (mixed mayo & bbq sauce). And while the sweet potato fries didn’t turn out all that great (just couldn’t get them quite right), the sandwiches with the melty cheese & fluffy eggs on ciabatta rolls turned out really yummy.
The girls had bath time together after dinner, and then shared some more of the giant yellow Tasty Pastry cookie together for dessert.
Emerson had been watching a show on PBS kids, but I asked her if she’d like a few more minutes of tv time, or a few minutes working on our puzzle, and she was like, “Our puzzle, Mommy!” While working together, after she tried a piece that didn’t fit, she said, “Oh manny-badoodle.” I just thought that was cute.
We had a video call with Nana for a little bit, and then we started up on our bedtime routine, a little later than usual. Emmie was sweet though, and she did well at bedtime. Addison fought her own bedtime a little bit, but once it was Jeff’s turn with Emmie and I was rocking Addie, I sang a couple lullabies to her, and then she was snoring so lightly.
After I laid Addison down, I was determined to finish the last of my puzzle, so I bent over the table for another 15-20 minutes while placing all the last pieces, until I finally had no pieces left. But the bad news is, I still had one hole in my puzzle!
I actually knew that piece was missing since we first started on Saturday, because I knew I’d looked everywhere for the “R” in New York. So frustrating… But I never intended on saving & framing this one (like my St. Augustine one), since this one was Christmas themed, but it’s still annoying to be missing a piece!
I’ve been a little addicted to this puzzle this past week, and I’m already wanting to put this one away and start on another one. Luckily for me, my parents went through their own puzzle craze not too long ago, and have plenty to share. So my Mama is going to let me borrow one or two of theirs while I’m still in my puzzle obsession.
