There were three little girls in our morning pictures today, Addie, Emmie, and Simone!
Emerson’s “inspiring person” project for Black History month turned out so cute! It’s called “lap book,” and they had to make the head sturdy enough to peek over the top, and add arms, and then fill the inside with info and facts and artwork. I love all her little drawings too.
Treated myself to The Frother’s Daughter again on my way into work today, and chose another one of the February specials and got another slot filled in on their anniversary punch card.
And then today was our bi-monthly unit lunch, and it was also my month to choose the restaurant. I chose Freshroots Kitchen, and used my 15% off code for my birthday, and had a delicious turkey club melt with added maple bourbon bacon jam, which is sooo good.
I started my new Instagram highlight today to share all of my 2025 Reads, so here are the four books I read in January.
Happy, precious girlies at the end of the day today!
Pizza Friday night as usual, and using some of my new birthday things. Like that corgi pizza cutter, a doggie bookmark, and the new candle. Plus, we decided that my 24-count of markers was not nearly enough colors, and so Jeff ordered me this gigantic 120-count pack as one last birthday present. And now I have soooo many options for coloring!
Also, how cute is this little corgi butt pizza cutter!? I literally had an audience when it was time to cut the pizza tonight!
Then we did a little bit of Friday night chores, putting the final touches on Emerson’s room makeover. She got the stuffed animal corner net and the light up “E” from Aunt Meggie and Uncle Bo for Christmas, and now we finally got everything all finished. Her room is so cute and cozy now, and she loves it all so much! (We also decided to donate a few more stuffed animals, and yet she still has wayy too many.)
We watched an episode or two of Bluey after finishing Emerson’s room. Then I read a book to Addie, before Jeff came back to do her bedtime, and I moved to Emmie’s room to do bedtime with her.
Now I need to go test out some new marker colors from my gigantic marker pack!
