Adorable girls, bright and springy again today. Addie’s dress is a hand-me-down of Emmie’s, and even though it’s too big for her right now, Daddy picked it out this morning and told her it was “Memmie’s” (which is how Addie says it), and Addie got so excited to wear it.

Meg was running a little late to get the trips today, and was gonna be about five minutes behind me. So I picked up the trips first and they were so excited to go with me! Then we got Addison and as soon as we got to the sidewalk, we saw Megan walking up, so that was perfect timing.
Jeff was out doing one of his side jobs tonight, running internet cables for someone’s new office building, so the girls and I did some leftovers for dinner. We had tons of options to choose from, and it was super easy, and they both ate really well. I even ended up sharing a bunch of my chili with Addison, and even had to get more because she loved it so much.
After dinner, Emerson helped me clean up the dinner table, and helped me put away a bunch of random stuff we found hiding underneath the kitchen counter bar stools. Then the girls played a little bit longer while I cleaned up a little bit more, before finally getting them in their jammies. But then of course Emerson needed to put on a little show for me. She asked me to play a Taylor Swift song, and she did a wonderful one-song performance.
Emerson had a slight breakdown when she realized Jeff wasn’t going to be home for their bedtime. So we did a video call with him, and both girls got to blow kisses and say goodnight. Then, Emerson wanted to watch a car-detailing video on YouTube, because that’s what she watches with Daddy on the nights she can’t sleep, and it helps calm her down. Well, it definitely worked, because about 10 minutes in, she was already sound asleep snuggled up on the couch.
This baby goofball on the other hand was wide awake and fighting sleep, and just wanting to do all the silly things. I also had to go change her jammies after this, because this little onesie was actually too small and it was bothering her. But once I got her changed again, we turned on the black screen ocean waves YouTube video that puts her to sleep, and it worked like a charm.
I’ve left Emerson sleeping on the couch for a while, so that she could stay cozy and comfy right where she was. I’m going to try to carry her back to her bedroom now though, so I can vacuum the living room, and then wash some dishes. Jeff will be home any minute now, and then we’re going to watch and episode of “The Office” before bedtime. (I’ve been listening to “The Office Ladies” podcast, where they recap one episode of the show on each episode of the podcast, so after each podcast listen in the morning, we watch one show at night.)
