Cinnamon Sticks

Growing Room has been doing a March of Dimes change drive this week, and we finally remembered to bring some on the last day. Emerson was so excited about it, and so proud of herself! She told me about it the other day and was like, “We gotta bring money for da sick babies!”

It also looks she had a good day at school, with some of her little boy-friends!

So for the past few days I’ve been listening to “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack on non-stop repeat while working at my dining room table. I always listen to music at work in my office, and quietly sing under my breath. My work-neighbors have told me they can hear my sometimes, but that clearly doesn’t stop me. But I discovered here at home, my co-worker (aka hubby) is already very used to my singing, and doesn’t mind at all, so I just sing as much & as loud as I want to! And so I’ve also been singing in the car on the way to pick up Emerson every day, literally at the top of my lungs.

I didn’t feel like cooking tonight (yesterday and today were pretty rough work days, and my sink was already full of last night’s dirty dishes), so we got this box deal from Pizza Hut on the way home instead.

This girl was a huge fan of the cinnamon sticks, and especially the icing to dip it in! I mean really, the cinnamon sticks were a favorite for all of us.

 

We had lots of playtime after dinner, so we spent it listening to music and dancing and jumping on the airbed in the tent (we should probably take that down this weekend finally), and reading books…

Still sitting on the potty all the time, and still nothing coming out… She does like to read a book while sitting though!

Little Miss Independent wanted to put her own socks on, and I think she did a pretty good job!

After I read her a couple of books, she also wanted to read herself a book too, which is always precious.

Ok, I’ll be honest, I’m just gonna ignore the dishes for one more night, and deal with them tomorrow during nap time. Because now, Mama just wants to sit down on the couch and chill out!
