Chowder

I can’t focus to write very much tonight, since it’s already past 10pm… So let’s just do mainly a photo dump tonight. Emmie was wearing a cute new outfit today.

Loved seeing the trippies, and Baby Hayden and Uncle Bo, and even Grammy at daycare this morning!

Long story short, we’re having difficulties getting the tag for my new car (I’ll explain another night), so after a frustrating trip to the DMV, Jeff and I treated ourselves to delicious coffee treats on the way back to work. The Du-Bae Pistachio latte was out of this world delicious!

Jeff picked up the girls from school today, which allowed me to just go straight home.

When I got home, I made sausage, corn & potato chowder for dinner, and a pan of cornbread. The venison was from Aunt Suzanne and Uncle Keith, and this soup recipe is one they make all the time and I love it.

Arter dinner, Addie just played and “bee’d cute” for a while, and Jeff and I took turns helping Emmie with a Black History month “inspiring person” project for school. I’ll have to get a good picture of the completed project tomorrow, because it turned out so cute!

It took longer than expected though, so it was 9:30 before we finally started bedtime for both girls, but they did at least both fall asleep super quickly. I know I won’t make it long before I fall asleep on the couch, but Jeff’s gonna play his video game, and I’m gonna read a little bit before bedtime. I’m almost done with the gigantic Harry Potter fan-fic I’ve been reading for weeks, and I’m dying to get to the very ending.
