Chocolate Cake

We’ve had a very full, busy Saturday, and I’m just gonna let the pictures do most of the talking today. My little sous chef helped with breakfast, and we made Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk today. Yum.

Ran quickly to get our Walmart grocery pickup order, and then came home to get ready. Emerson picked out her outfit and got herself dressed; and Addison told me she wanted a “hair sprout” today.

Had the whole kids section in the library to ourselves today, so we stayed there for a nice long time.

Back home for a little snack plate lunch; followed by nap time for the girls, dishes & puzzle for me, and yard work for Jeff.

Addie slept super long today, but when Emmie woke up, we baked a cake together (for Grammy’s family birthday dinner tomorrow night), and worked on the puzzle more.

Ordered this in our Walmart grocery order this morning to give it a try, and it was good, but not great. Gonna try it with more mix and maybe some extra cinnamon next time.

We didn’t last outside too very long, because it was hot and the bugs were bothering us. So instead, the girls played on their Kindles and I read, while Jeff was getting showered and cleaned up.

We went to Panda Express for dinner, and it was really yummy. She forgot to charge us for the drinks, but she gave them to us for free, so we lucked out there.

Beautiful sunset sky on the drive back home after dinner.

The girls had a bath when we got home, then Addie cuddled with Daddy, and Emmie and I iced and sprinkled the cake for Grammy. She was super proud of it too, and so sweet and excited through the whole process, especially since she knew it was for Grammy!

Addison was eating some gummies for her snack, and Emerson was eating cottage cheese straight out of the container for her snack 😉

Everyone was very tired tonight, so I got all three of them down quickly and easily 😉 Now I’m going to listen to my audio book on a timer for 30 minutes while I work on the puzzle, then watch a show, then read before bed. Night friends!
