Chicken Nuggets

Addison was so happy to head into school today – she literally cheered when we first got in the car, saying “Yay gonna play school friends!”

And she looks like she was doing a good job learning the letter “T” at school today!

We’re having all the most simple meals the rest of the week – chicken nuggets, hot dogs, & spaghetti. Some times, that’s all my brain can handle as far as the planning goes… But these nuggets were actually really good in the air fryer, especially with this new pickle ketchup I purchased specifically just to earn points in my receipt-reward app a few weeks ago. It’s actually really good though, especially if you’re a pickle girl like me!

Jeff didn’t get a pic of Emmie before school this morning, but she let me take one before dinner, with her little bunny teeth peeking out. And then I got a picture of her cute, but messy, end-of-the-day half-up hair clip hair.

We finished watching the end of “Wicked” with the girls while we ate dinner, and afterwards. I kept making us pause it so we didn’t miss any of the important parts, or heaven forbid, the songs. And everyone loved it! Addie was especially zoned in during the final song/scenes, and so interested in Elphaba flying.

Emerson picked out a book to read tonight, that she could also take an AR test on at school tomorrow. She loves this little Pretzel book, and it makes her remember our old doggie Pretzel too.

My girl was totally exhausted tonight after a slightly rough afternoon in after-school care, so she was sound asleep almost immediately after our prayers and lullabies. Addison took a little longer than usual, as always, but I think at this point, Jeff has finally got her to sleep now too.

We did in fact finally finish the final LOTR movie last night, and then Jeff decided we need to get started on the three Hobbit movies too, so I guess we’re embarking on another two-week movie-viewing schedule 🤣
