Cherry Limeade

We went back out into the world today, now that we’re all clear of covid, and it was good to be back in a normal routine, and able to see family and friends at church, and eat family lunch at Firehouse afterwards.

Papa may have been sharing sips of cherry limeade and munchies of Funions with Addison 😉

Emerson went home with Grammy & Papa after lunch, per her usual request (this time, we had pre-planned and packed a bag for her with a change of clothes), and Addison came home with us, sleepy little girl in the car on the way home.

Her and I played for an hour or so in the living room, and then I forced her to fall asleep and take a nap.

And looks like Emerson had a great time this afternoon too!

We met up with them to get Emmie back at Publix at 5pm, and ran inside to grab a couple things.

After lots of indecision and grumpiness and hangry-ness and closed restaurants, we ended up just giving up and getting McDoubles & Happy Meals, which was okay, but definitely not what I wanted. But oh well, life goes on… We had a chill night after dinner, just watching “Home” on Netflix, laying out the girls’ clothes for the upcoming week, and then getting the girls ready for bed, to finally head back to school tomorrow.

I’ve been a little grump tonight (had to apologize to both Emerson and Jeff at separate times for being snappy with them), so I think I just need to rest and reset, get some relaxation and sleep, and start fresh again tomorrow.
