Tiny girl is still loving her Woody toothbrush like the triplets from Grammy. She is also very sure to remind us we’re supposed to brush our teeth every day!
Baby Tater Tot specifically asked, “Can I carry in all the plastic bags, Mommy?” So after a quick photo of her adorable romper and those teeny legs, I loaded her up with her backpack and her plastic bags!
And look at all the fun my girl had at school today!
I planned to have chicken Alfredo for dinner tonight, not realizing I didn’t actually have Alfredo sauce in the cabinet, and not wanting to make it homemade (nor did I have all the ingredients). I was going to run into Trader Joe’s after daycare (thinking it would be small & quick), but I didn’t realize they were still limiting the number of customers in the store, and there was a line of 6-7 people waiting outside already. I might have waited if I didn’t have Emmie with me already, but it was hot, and she’s sweet but she’s still a toddler, so we headed over to the Thomasville Road Publix instead.
But that worked out great, because I also spied these delicious looking cherries right near the front, plus I finally found the rapid rise yeast I’ve been wanting for the past four months, that every store has been sold out of! So I grabbed quite a few packets, to stock-pile for many future baking projects. I’ve been waiting to make this recipe for no-knead rosemary bread, and now that I’ve found the right yeast, it’s totally calling my name, like SOON. (She was very intrigued by some Baby Yoda balloons at the register.)
Nana came over to bring us some of the leftover ribs from last weekend, so I invited her to stay and eat dinner with us. She helped out by making the Caesar salad, while I finished up the chicken Alfredo & garlic bread. And everything turned out delicious!
Emerson requested to have the cherries for dessert, so I rinsed them and made a tiny bowl for her. She also asked that we cuddle and eat them on the couch, so we sat together and I taught her how to eat the cherry, but get rid of the pit. She did a good job with that part, and she really liked the cherries!
Nana was super nice and washed almost all of tonight’s dishes, then hung out with us on the couch (Emmie even gave her two cherries), and then she sent us this photo of the double rainbow on her way home – so cool!
After getting plenty of hugs from brothers, and having lots of Mommy’s ice cold water (from my new cup from Walmart that’s she’s now obsessed with too), she got all goofy and silly and played with Daddy for a bit, but then she was super sweet and ready for prayers and lullabies with Mommy.
Since the dishes are already taken care of, I get to just plop down on the couch and rest. We’re still making our way through Star Wars, currently near the beginning of Episode VI. So we still have four more movies to go, and then the boys want to watch “The Mandolorian” afterwards. We will try to watch that too, if we have the time while they’re here, but they go back home in only two weeks, so we’ll see if we make it through all of that…
