Cheesy Chimichanga

Emerson picked out this new dress last night, so I picked out coordinating browns for fall for me and Addison today too. 🍁🍂🍄

Only Emerson wanted to take a picture at home, so I’ll still share it, because she looks like such a big girl. We still had a good morning, but we were in fact running a little late, but still pretty good overall.

Today was PopPop’s birthday, so even though Jeff is still out of town, we met Jeff’s parents at Pepper’s to celebrate without him. 😉 This super cheesy chimichanga was delicious, and so good scooped up with chips & salsa.

It was pouring rain by the time we finished dinner, so we scurried to our cars under umbrellas, and fought Addie into her car seat to get buckled, and then drove slowly through town in the floods. Then I had to fight with Pennie to get her to go outside. She actually wouldn’t go on her own, so I had to put her on the leash, get an umbrella, and walk barefoot around the backyard with her so she could go pee & poo.

Anyways, we got ourselves all settled in and dried off and watched some Bluey episodes to calm down. Then we went to Emmie’s room for me to read a bedtime book. I was gonna try to sneak a picture of the girls, but the flash was accidentally on, and it caught Addie’s attention and she actually smiled, but Emmie was tired, which you can clearly see. But you can also see some cute ringlets peeking out in both of their hair from all the rain and humidity, and I just love that.

Emerson fell asleep in her bed just minutes after we finished reading and singing lullabies, and then Addison wanted to lay in Mommy’s bed. She also fell asleep in just about 5 minutes once we had snuggled up. And UGH I just love this perfect little baby face!

I lit a brand new fresh candle, made myself a cup of hot blueberry tea with a teeny bit of honey, and brought it with me to the computer to write.

I’ve been watching “Lessons in Chemistry” on AppleTV the last few days, and I’m really loving it. I already read the book last year with my book club, and loved the book too. If you have AppleTV, I’d recommend you check it out!
