Cheese Quesadillas

I just love this silly little goose and how goofy she is. And of course she loves her pockets!

And of course she loves her chocolate chip muffin!

Oh my word this toothless, grinning teeny tot is too much! I loved those watermelon jammies. (And we still love our fold-up indoor/outdoor watermelon blanket.)

Looks like someone had a happy day at school today!

For lunch, I ate the leftovers from Sunday night’s Instant Pot dinner and read on the Kindle app on my phone… At least until my sister started texting me a million questions, and then called me too. She’s been following the trial for the murder of Dan Markel, and after he was sentenced to life today, she had a ton of follow-up questions about what happens now and when does he go to prison and where does he go and does he get visitors and blah blah blah. Since I work at the Department of Corrections, I was able to give her the “low-down” on all the things. She was cracking me up though with all her questions.

It took a little longer to get home in the rain today, but praise the Lord for all the rain we’re getting! Our grass has been dead and brown for weeks now, and everything is so dry, and I’m sure everyone is glad we got rain! But it took forever to get home!

Jeff and Emmie sat on the couch snacking on ice while I cooked dinner, and this is her trying to fish out a piece she dropped down the front of her dress 😉

After the decent-but-not-super dinner Sunday night, and the weird meat from last night, I needed a really easy dinner, that was guaranteed to turn out good. And nachos and quesadillas was that meal! And yes, it was delicious. and I made enough quesadillas for me to take the leftovers to work for lunch tomorrow.

Baby girl had a great time in the bath tub. A few months ago, we always did the fastest 30-second bath possible, now, she plays and swims and splashes until every last drop drains from the tub!

She picked out her own jammies tonight, telling me she wanted her “cakes.”

She was looking for this little turquoise bunny, but I remembered it was still in a bag from when we went to Grammy’s house last weekend. So we went to get it together, and found a couple other little friends too. And she was so excited about them all!

She tried a bunch of stalling techniques before bedtime, and we let her get away with a few, but then we got firm and made her settle down for real. She wanted one song with Daddy, then three with me. I put her down in her crib, but she got upset and needed one more lullaby. After that, she was fine and I was able to skedaddle out of there.

I just turned on this little sample a friend sent me for the Scentsy warmer, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the smell fills up the house. She also sent a couple other little goodies that I’m excited about.

Jeff has been working on some laundry, and now I’m going to head in to the kitchen and finish the dishes. And then I’m gonna snuggle up for movie rest time with my hubby!
