My girl is just too cute. I know every mom thinks their kid is the cutest, but honestly, I think mine really is! Haha 🙂
Just look at those tiny legs in these tight pants, with the pretty little sandals!
After dropping Emmie off at school today, I started up a brand new audio book, literally brand new – it’s official publication day was just yesterday! (I’m honestly not actually a fan of Jane Austen {Pride & Prejudice was a bit boring for me}, but it sounded like a cute book anyways. Plus, it was on the summer reading guide from both Modern Mrs. Darcy and Everyday Reading (my two fave book blogs), so I figured it must be good!
Emmie did some fun watermelon arts & crafts at school today, and peed in the potty NINE TIMES!! Goodness gracious. Plus, she pooped on the potty twice too.
I made homemade waffles again for dinner tonight, using this recipe from Everday Reading. (Yes, one of my favorite book bloggers also shares some of my favorite recipes, like these waffles, and Indian butter chicken, and cocount curry ramen, which I’m making tomorrow.)
And then I proceeded to completely burn one of the batches of bacon. Like, that stuff was black and extremely crispety-crunchety. There was smoke everywhere, Jeff had to open the doors & windows, and turn all the fans on full-blast, and stand in the kitchen waving a hand towel around for a few minutes, trying to make sure we didn’t set off the smoke detector. It was a whole big scene.
But dinner still turned out really delicious!
This was one of the “blacker” pieces of burnt bacon, although I think Jeff braved it and at the “blackest” one himself.
We treated baby girl to a special bubble bath tonight, and she was just the cutest thing playing in the bubbles. She always likes to sit and play in the water until every drop of water is gone. But there were so many bubbles tonight, we had to hose her down afterwards to get all the bubbles off!
My cute Emmie ate some gummies while I read the “cheepy chicks” book again, and hit me with this model pose before getting settled down.
There are minimal dishes from tonight’s meal, but I don’t feel like washing them tonight. Instead, I’m gonna go sit down and finish my library book before bedtime.
