Building a Terrarium in our Jammies

We did good this morning getting up and moving and started on our breakfast casserole for my Sunday school class. I had my little helper of course, who always loves to do whatever I’ll let her help with.

But my oven is so wacky sometimes, and it took close to forever for all the eggs to set up, so even though we got everything done, we were a little late to class… I also couldn’t find a cute basket to put the biscuits in, so they just went in an Amazon box instead. But everything tasted great, and that’s what matters!

We went back to Firehouse again today with the family, and had yummy subs for lunch.

We took a couple of model shots of my beautiful girls when we got back home, before putting on our jammies for naptime, which we just wore the whole rest of the day. And I am just obsessed with my adorable girlies, especially in the Sunday best!

We all four ended up taking nice long naps this afternoon, so by the time we all slowly woke up after our staggered naps, it was almost 5pm… So then, Emerson and I worked on this cute little terrarium kit! This was a Christmas gift for her from Grammy and Papa last year, that we just re-found when we cleaned her room last weekend. And it was such a fun little project this afternoon! And yes, we were still in our jammies, out on our back porch 🙂

Yesterday, when she told Grammy we had plans to make this, she first said, “We’re gonna make a bunny house!” I was like, I’m not sure why she called it that, but it’s the terrarium. Then later when we got back home, I saw the box again and saw the little bunny, and realized why she had said that. 🙂

This was such a cute, sweet, fun little project for us to work on together. The instructions said it would take 4-5 days for the grass to start growing, and I gotta admit, I’m pretty excited to see that start happening.

While we were outside, Jeff got a take-&-bake Walmart pizza into the little air fryer oven, and so it was dinner time when we came back inside. Emmie didn’t like the pizza though, so she ate a Lunchable, and Addison had leftover breakfast casserole & biscuit.

We went back to Addie’s room to play princess and do some dances, and Emmie even helped me fold up a load of their clothes. While we were playing, Jeff volunteered to wash a big load of dishes, and he started up a load of laundry as well.

Then of course it was time to start calming down and getting ready for bed. Emerson requested to watch her current fave, “Spidey & Friends,” and she had a snack while I held Addison and she had some milk.

Emmie needed lots of extra snuggle time tonight, and Addie just wanted to be held, while quietly fighting sleep. It’s 9:30 now, and both girls are finally asleep, but it took quite a while. Since Jeff washed all the dishes, sippy cups & bottles, and even got the coffee pot set up for tomorrow morning, all my usual nightly chores are already done for me!
