Arts & Crafts & Curls

Happy little girls, on a Monday morning. This is last official week of VPK for Emerson (even though she’ll still be at daycare all summer), and Addison was looking like such a big girl standing there in her cute dress and sandals!

This giant family of geese was walking up the road next to my parking garage this morning. They’ve actually been in the area for a while now, and these “babies” are now in the “teenager” stage where they’re almost the same size, but still have those fluffy, fuzzy feathers. I took the pictures to show Emmie because I knew she would love to see it, and she really did – she squealed when I showed her after work today.

Addie fell asleep on the car ride home, but woke up as I was getting the seat out of the car. She used to always sleep through that, and would nap while I cooked dinner, but she hasn’t done that lately.

Emerson was back in her room cooking dinner for us in her little girl kitchen, while I was cooking dinner in the big girl kitchen.

We were just playing and hanging out all over the house after dinner – Emmie made me chocolate cake in her kitchen, and we did some art & crafts, and Addie climbed in & out of two different hampers/baskets.

This was the “menu” at her dessert restaurant.

I couldn’t get enough of her beautiful hair and golden curls!!!

After a good bit of playtime, we got both girls in their jammies, and started on our bedtime routine as usual.

I loved the way she picked out out nightly book, then just sat there “reading” it herself for a few minutes. She’s also got her stuffies jammed up at the top of her bed, which is cute too.

Daddy got Addison to sleep while I was with Emerson, but I still held her and cuddled her for a bit before laying her down in her crib, just to get some serotonin from sleepy baby snuggles.

I put away all the food & leftovers earlier, but now it’s time to go wash up some dishes and bottles and sippy cups. Well, I’ll get right on that as soon as I finish my current Survivor episode 😉
