Emmie got to wear a hat to school today, since I registered her last night for next weeks’ fun run. There was some drama this morning about not finding a specific hat (she settled for the bucket hat instead), but she was happy by the time she got to school! And Addie was just happy to have her gummies for her morning snack 🙂
Coworker got herself some Dunkin when she went out on her lunch break today, and gave me a few pumpkin munchkins. So I made an afternoon coffee, and this was a great treat.
I picked up Emerson from school first this afternoon, and then when we got to school, we were waiting on Aunt Meggie to finish up her work hone call, so we could all go get the four little’s together. She had on these glasses from a wedding we went to over the summer, and leaned back on the car like this, so calm and chill and relaxed.
We’re a little bit of a chaotic circus trying to get all of these kids and their backpacks and their water bottles out the door on a Friday, but it’s fun!
We had a random hodge podge for dinner (chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, pears, the very last of the Ranch Bugles, and popcorn), but the girls ate SO MUCH food. Addison had four chicken nuggets and all of her fruit, and Emerson ate literally everything on her plate, then had more popcorn.
After dinner, we just had a calm, quiet night. We let the girls both play on their individual Kindle tablets (Emmie on the couch, and Addie in Jeff’s lap), and I listened to my audio book and worked on this puzzle. We started it Monday, but didn’t get very far. Tonight, I worked for about 20 minutes, and just got all the edges done. Maybe I’ll go work on it some more when I finish this…
This sweet baby ended up falling asleep on the couch after some snacks and Bluey and cuddles. But baby sister was wiggling all over the place and needed some extra attention.
I got Emmie moved to her bed, with prayers and lullabies, and Jeff got Addie to sleep holding her on the couch listening to the ocean waves video. We finished the series finale episode of “Ted Lasso” last night, and I cried multiple times. It was just such a good show! I wish there were at least three or four more seasons still. Probably going to work on the puzzle for just a little bit, and then lay down on the couch to watch tv until I fall asleep…
