Started off the day with some sausage biscuits for breakfast, and ate at the coffee table again this morning.
Then I got the girls dressed, and their backpacks all packed up,and we headed over to Grammy and Papa’s house to spend the day with them!
We were very happy to see Aunt Meggie this morning too.
And then we were all in the pool by about 10am, where we stayed for the next two hours.
We had taco salad for lunch, which was absolutely delicious, with some yellow rice and black beans on the side.
One of the deer that frequents their front yard had a baby this past week, and it is the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen. The girls were all standing there watching it standing under it’s mama, hoping it would come up closer, but they never got too close today.
Meg’s family left after lunch time, then Emerson napped with Grandmommie, and Addison napped with me, and she was so adorable and sleepy.
Addie and I napped for about 2.5 hours, and woke up feeling nice and rested. We hung out there for a little while longer after nap time, before we finally headed out. And by the time we got back to our house, Jeff and the boys were already there. We went out for an early-ish dinner around 5:45 at Cane’s, for some delicious chicken fingers.
I scrubbed the bath tub and the toilet when we got home (and spilled half bottle of bleach bathroom spray all over the floor when I broke the squirt lid and then the bottle slipped out of my hands), and then got the girls into the bath. We put them both into some clean jammies, and then of course watched some Bluey before bedtime. The girls love having their brothers here, and are pretty obsessed with them. It’s very sweet, and I love watching all of them together.
Even after good naps, both girls were exhausted, and bedtime went easily, although Emerson did in fact need some extra cuddles. I need to repaint my fingernails again tonight, and then try to go to sleep at a decent time, because I have to be at church nice and early for praise team rehearsal tomorrow.
