Bento, Bubbles & Breakfast Babes

Everyone was very, very sleepy this morning. So much so that both girls had to be woken up this morning for school. But once we got them up & moving, they were happy & smiley!

Addie had a great easy drop-off at daycare this morning, with no issue. I half-packed Emmie’s lunch last night, packed the cold stuff this morning, and then Jeff made her the little turkey & provolone sliders on the Hawaiian rolls. But Emmie was a little clingy and apprehensive at her own drop-off. But she made it eventually, and went to the cafeteria for her breakfast.

My leftover Thai chicken curry and rice was really good for lunch today, while I finished up a Kindle book from the library.

I love the photos of Addie playing in the bubbles today!

I finished up the last few minutes of this audiobook in the car pick-up line this afternoon. I really liked it – I rated it 4 (out of 5) stars, and really enjoyed it.

Jeff decided to mow the yard tonight, so I decided to make the easiest dinner for just me and the girls. So I did Trader Joe’s hash browns, with some scrambled eggs and grapes (cut so super tiny for Addison). And Emerson literally cheered when I told her I was making breakfast for dinner – these little babes love breakfast!

After dinner, we went outside to watch Jeff mow a little bit, and Addie just couldn’t get enough of watching. But she didn’t understand why he wouldn’t come pick her up and hold her, since she’s such a Daddy’s girl.

Then the girls and I had a little bit of playtime while Jeff finished up outside. Emerson put on her Ariel dress, and high heels, and she was doing all sorts of shows (she made me play the xylophone for one of her performances) and leading GC kids and saying the prayer, and it was precious. (The little carpet was her “stage.”)

The girls both did well at bedtime, and didn’t give us too many issues.

Jeff did get cleaned up from his yard work, and helped put the girls to sleep, but he is of course exhausted, and went to sleep early. I’m off to handle all the usual nightly things, such as sippy cups, coffee pot and coffee mugs, bento lunch box, dishes, etc…
