My girls were looking especially cute this morning, in puppy pants and a baby Yoda dress, with big, bright, beautiful smiles!
I took Addison to the ENT this morning for a quick check-up of the tubes in her ears, and she did great! She was very serious about drinking her little cup of water, and that actually made it very silly.
And then when I got into the office, one of my coworkers had left a little haul of hand-me-downs for Addie. It’s mostly a bunch of t-shirts, and one very soft and fuzzy little coat.
I took off work early today to take Emerson to gymnastics. She has to be picked up around 3pm after school, but the class isn’t until 4pm, so we have a full hour to kill. And since Papa spoiled her with all their fancy, indulgent pre-gym snacks, so this morning, she was like, “Wanna try beignets today? We can just get the 4 pack and a water this time!” And honestly, I’ve been really wanting to try this place myself, so it really took no convincing. But I don’t know who she thought I was, if she thought I wasn’t gonna get a fancy latte?! We got the seasonal Nutella Biscoff beignets, and they were gooooood. And I got the biscoff latte, and it was delish too.
And after eating, we still had like 20 minutes before we needed to leave, so we grabbed our books and just made ourselves comfortable to read for a little bit.
Then I loved watching Emmie do her thing at the gym, but watching her climb to the very top of the rope and hit that ceiling beam always makes me so nervous. But she’s so good at it!
Before we left home this morning, I got the Korean beef going in the crock-pot, so when we got home tonight, I just made some jasmine rice and a bag of steamed broccoli, and it was all ready to go. Topped with some sesame seeds and green onions, and it was so yummy.
Addison ate all of her broccoli, asked for more, and started poaching pieces from everyone else’s bowls too. She’s always been a broccoli girl! I did finally get her to eat some rice and meat too, but we had to airplane, choo-choo-train, and helicopter in about 15 different times.
We tried to ensure a decent bedtime tonight, after some cranky girls and stressed out parents going through the hoopla of the evening, and we did a good job. These girls were exhausted and bedtime went great!
Think I’m gonna just leave the dishes for tomorrow, and paint my nails tonight instead, and then read a little bit before bedtime.
