Bathtub Barista

My sweet girls started out with breakfast at Grammy & Papa’s house in their jammies…

And then I met up with them mid-morning to do a little shopping at Old Navy and the Governor’s Square mall. I told Emmie the other day we were going shopping at the mall, and she was like, “What’s a mall?” I thought that was funny.

There’s just something about food court Chinese food that hits different, you know what I mean? This Mongolian chicken was amazing, and I actually ate every single bite of this, because I was starving!

Then Emmie was so sweet and pitiful asking asking to do this jumpy thing, and of course Grammy gave in, and let her do it! It was really adorable, and she was so giggly and squealy, and had the best time.

For some reason, my phone didn’t record any audio on this video, so we can’t hear the giggles, but we can still see the biggest smiles!

Baby sister slept through most of our mall adventure, but woke up smiley and happy at the end!

Emerson loved the escalators almost as much as the trampoline!!

On our way back home to the mall, I found my favorite coffee truck. And, it was definitely my lucky day, because I walked right up to the window to order, with NO line at all, which literally never happens. One time, Meg & I waited in line for about 30 minutes when she was in the middle of the FSU campus, and had a huge line that day. Today, I wanted to try one of the February specials. the pistachio latte. I always choose pistachio gelato whenever I can, and I was dying to try this pistachio latte, and I loved it so much! Definitely want another one before the end of the month.

I had a hard time getting Addison down for a good nap once we got back home, so eventually I gave up and let her just play some more to try to tire her out some more. After jumping around in this for a while, I got her down for a nap in her crib…

…and I laid down with Emmie in our bed to take a very late-afternoon nap together, while Jeff was at his dad’s church working on tech stuff for their worship sound system.

Emmie ended up sleeping for about 2.5 hours, and although Addie’s nap was much shorter than that, I got her to stay calm in her swing for a while, and then once Jeff got home, he held her and rocked her back to sleep, and then she slept with him for quite a while.

We got some cheeseburgers from Sonic for dinner, and then got the girls in the bath tub to splash around and get clean and play.

Emmie was pretending she was running a coffee shop in the bathtub, and kept asking me what size I wanted, or what flavors I wanted. I think she ended up making me about 4 or 5 tub-water coffees 😉 She was the greatest and certainly the cutest little bathtub barista. Both of my little girls looked so adorable in their clean jammies, and smelled so nice, all ready for bed!

Everyone was tired tonight, so bedtime went smoothly. Jeff already washed up all the baby bottles earlier, and he’s gonna take a shower now, then we’re heading off to bed soon, so we can get up and moving early tomorrow for church.
