What a beautiful little girl, in her adorable birthday dress from Aunt Meggie and Uncle Bo. This is the first time she’s worn it, and she really loved it! She was also making some super silly faces, but there’s nothing new about that. The girl is a goofball!
Megan told me she ordered this dress off Amazon, and when it arrived, it had a Nautica tag on it, and was clearly a brand-new department store dress, but way more affordable! And both of us were happy with that find 😉
And she had another good day in her new classroom, with a 2-hour 10-minute nap, and lots of fun with her friends.
And look at these two babies from three years ago! Our tiny tot was just barely one month old, and for some reason I look so much younger… But dang she was CUTE!
I decided to light my candle on my “desk” this afternoon, and it really just added something a little bit extra while working.
Late this afternoon, I took 2 quick minutes to throw a frozen chicken breast in the Instant Pot with some taco-ish seasonings, to get ready for dinner.
Then I picked up my girl from school, and she nursed me for a little bit (I had a fever of 46), before I made us a really easy dinner. I pulled out my trusty quesadilla maker I’ve had since college (good Lord that sentence makes me sound about a thousand), and added some rice and beans, oh and sauteed some onions. And everyone loved dinner!
My girl is still doing GREAT this week with the potty situation. She just goes so easily every time now, just like it’s no big deal and never has been!
She was doing all these cute motions to this little jellyfish song she likes, and just generally being super adorable.
But then she had some extra energy to burn, so she needed to jump around all over the couch, and climb all over me like a jungle gym. She also really likes it when I “boop” her in the chest and she falls back on the pile of pillows and blankets, and she just dies laughing like it’s the funniest thing to ever happen. And I love it.
Then she forced us both to go put our robes on and be cozy on the couch together, which I had no qualms about! I love to be cozy, and so does my girl.
We were trying to take some robe selfies, but toddlers make everything tricky, so most of of them look like this, or way worse. Haha 🙂
But this one is sorta cute!
Bedtime went well, with lots of snuggles and loves and kisses, even though she tried to tell me again that she wasn’t sleepy and didn’t need to go to sleep. That seems to just be the phase she’s in though – she never thinks she’s tired! I got all the dinner leftovers put away, and kinda just half-way cleaned up because man I’m exhausted. I’ll wash everything up tomorrow at lunch, and that’ll be just fine with me.
Jeff actually fell asleep in the recliner about an ago (or maybe more by now), so I’m going to send him to bed, watch a tiny bit of Netflix myself, and then get to bed kinda early-ish. Night friends!
