Well, after 3.5 snow days last week, we were all finally back in the saddle, and back to the normal routine. And quite thankful for that actually! Although crazy enough, there’s STILL ice and snow on the ground in some areas around town, like on the sidewalk at daycare. Addison insisted on wearing the rain boots we found cleaning out closets this past weekend, even though they were about a size too big.
And Daddy and Emmie were back in their normal routine as well. And Emmie was actually very excited to show off her braces to her friends, since she hadn’t been back to school since getting them put on last week.
Papa picked up Emerson from school today, and took her to her gymnastics class. So then when we met up at daycare afterwards, we also saw Uncle Bo and the triplets picking up baby Hayden, so it was a quick little 10-minute family reunion party.
I wasn’t planning to make taquitos for dinner tonight… I had planned to pick up a late Walmart grocery order after getting the girls, but our order was delayed. So luckily we had this stuff we could put together since we were running low on most other stuff…. So we ate dinner in the living room and introduced the girls to “The Land Before Time” for the first time, and they were loving it.
Addie barely ate anything sitting at the coffee table, But we moved her plate up to the counter, and “turned on the candle fire,” and then she finally ate almost everything.
Jeff put one last coat of paint on the drawer-fronts of Addie’s new dresser tonight. We are also going to replace the knobs with something a little better, so he made a quick run to Home Depot. We had a few knobs saved from when we re-did the kitchen a few years ago, but we need one more handle for the larger drawers. Home Depot didn’t have a matching one though, so we’ll have to try to order on Amazon.
Added another Taylor Swift vinyl to my collection, since I found this on another great sale recently.
We watched a couple episodes of Bluey, and then did our newly modified bedtime routines in the girls’ recently rearranged bedrooms.
After I got Emerson to sleep, and Jeff was able to get his hand away from a sleepy Addison, I headed to Walmart to pickup my delayed-but-finally-ready grocery order. I got there right at 9pm, and they were slammed. All the spots were full, plus three more cars in front of me… I wanted for 40 minutes, and only saw two or maybe three cars get their groceries, so I finally left, since they were being ridiculously slow. I rescheduled for tomorrow after work, and I’m just praying it actually works out tomorrow!

Hey, Girlie! Not sure if you know but Hobby Lobby has REALLY cute drawer pulls that are a lot like Restoration Hardware but not that expensive! Y’all may want to look there, too!
Thank you, I forgot about that! I think we’ll check it out!
