Audrey & Amelia

At drop-off this morning, Addison was growling at me and telling me she was a tiger!

But I did get at least one “normal” smile from the baby tiger cat.

And another pretty little sunrise with cutesy little clouds this morning.

Made myself a little buffalo ranch salad today for lunch with the chicken nuggets I air fried late last night, and it was so good. I’m gonna have to start doing that more often for work lunches, don’t know why I haven’t thought of this before!

And then for dinner, I made what felt like the most 90’s, kid-ish dinner ever, with hot dogs, mac & cheese & peas. The hot dogs were just okay, but I actually loved the peas & mac, and especially mixed together.

I spent time after dinner washing up some dishes, while the girls got ready for bed. Then when it was time for bed, Emerson read me a book about Amelia Earhart, and I read her one about Audrey Hepburn. When she first showed me the books, she already knew how to say/pronounce Amelia Earhart, but she was stumbling over Audrey Hepburn, so I told her how to read it. She was like, “OH, okay do you know her already?” So obviously I’m gonna need to introduce her to some old-school classic movies soon!

I didn’t actually finish all of the dishes earlier, but I did enough to call it a night, and the rest can wait till the weekend, cuz I’m definitely not washing them tomorrow, on a Friday night. For now though, time to cuddle up and watch some tv, or read, or scroll TikTok before we potentially lose it!
