Are We In the Mountains Yet?

Started off our family vacation by meeting up at Wawa for to-go breakfast and family prayers.

Then we spent the next 13-ish hours driving. North through traffic, making plenty of stops for snacks, potty breaks, and meals. The girls switched cars around a few times, and that was fun to mix things up.

Had to do a little bit of calisthenics at one of the stops, to get some wiggles out.

These little girls asked about 1000 times, “are we in the mountains yet?” And even though we were in the mountains for a few hours towards the end of the drive, they didn’t really believe us. I think they were waiting for us to actually reach the cabin before they believed we had finally made it.

We also got to try a Cookout for the first time (well, it was the Pullen’s first time) and that was cheap and delicious.

When we finally made it to the cabin at 8pm, we had birthday cake and candles for the triplets, because today was their 6th birthday!

We’ve got big plans for breakfast at the Apple Barn first thing tomorrow morning, so I gotta go get some sleep!
