Emerson was too busy playing with her new “goulash” from the dentist office, and talking and asking “why?” in the car on the way to school this morning, to finish her gummies, so she took them to-go. In this first photo, she was saying, “uh-oh, there’s a car driving over there!”
I needed to run to the Dollar Tree on my lunch break today, so I texted Megan to see if she wanted to come with me, and she did! I needed Valentine’s & paper plates for Emmie’s school party tomorrow, plus I needed to stock up on some snacks for the office. There were Valentine’s balloons everywhere, and you had to walk through the ribbons to look at all the Valentine’s stuff.
Work was actually not toooo crazy today, so I got to leave on time, thankfully. I picked up Emerson, and we headed towards Publix. while we were driving, I could hear her messing around with her things and her seat, and then I had to ask her, “Emerson, did you just take off your shoes?” She giggled and said yeah and her squealy little high-pitched voice. And I was like, “yeah I can smell them!” That tiny little girl has the stinkiest feet!
Jeff met us at Publix for some shopping and dinner. I needed some stuff for a work breakfast tomorrow (I went the easy road and got BOGO muffins), and a few things for Saturday’s tea party.
Emerson saw the Archie comics book in the check-out line, and started squealing with excitement and reaching towards it. I have no idea why though!? I handed it to her and let her flip through it, and she appeared to be really into it. I thought it was so funny!
We got Emerson a small side of cheese noodles from the chicken counter, and Jeff and I got plates from the Chinese counter, and an extra egg roll for Emerson.
But of course she wanted more than just her own food, and needed bites of my chicken, my noodles, and Daddy’s noodles.
Since we ended up being there later than I really wanted, I had plan to just skip Emerson’s bath time. But when I started getting her change for bed, I realized both her fingernails and toenails were completely dirty and black underneath, her feet stink, and she was just generally a messy ragamuffin! So we did a super fast bath, and then she was squeaky clean and smelling much better!
I of course have some more chores and a little bit of decorating to take care of tonight, before I can sit down later to rest for a little bit.
