My beautiful girls wore these cute, colorful dresses I found on super clearance at Belk when I went shopping with Nana on my birthday a few weeks back. I gave them the dresses, and new fake Crocs for Valentine’s Day, that were actually only $6 at Dollar Tree!

We had a great morning at church, but by the time service was over, it was absolutely flooding so it was crazy chaotic trying to pick up the girls and get out to the car. Jeff was actually suited up in a rain jacket and rain boots and an umbrella, and was escorting people to their cars and helping them get past the giant puddles everywhere. So it was late once we finally left ourselves, and he was soaking wet. So he dropped us off at home and I made the girls lunch at home, but he went back out to get me buffalo wings from Zaxby’s, and lunch for himself too.
We spent some time cozied up watching movies and doing some watercolor painting, while it was still gray and rainy outside.

Then the girls got up and started running around playing, being really sweet together. I let them play for a while, and then since they had so much energy, I made them help me clean up some more around the house.

Then Jeff laid down to take a nap, and I made the girls sit down and have quiet reading time with me. We put on a cute little Snoopy Valentine’s lo-fi channel on YouTube, and the three of us girls (well, four, with Pennie too) settled down to read. Emmie and I were actually reading of course, but Addie looked real cute flipping through a book under the coffee table too. Eventually, she got out a pad and some crayons and did some quiet coloring under there too.

I ended up falling asleep on the couch and took a tiny little nap for a bit, and the girls just kept sweetly playing and painting.
We went back to church tonight for dinner and Connect Groups, and had a good night there. At home, we immediately started getting the girls ready for bed, with jammies and snacks and a few episodes of PB&J Otter on Disney+. Both girls were exhausted from a long day of church and playing and church and playing at church, so they fell asleep very easily after just one lullaby tonight.

Thankfully, the Governor gave us a surprise holiday tomorrow, so we have a nice long three-day weekend, and we get one more day of family time together!
